In this mixed media workshop children will look at the beautiful Native birds for our inspiration. Children can choose between, A Tui, a Morepork, Two Tui's or a Kiwi. Perhaps if their artwork is for a gift they could make the recipients favourite bird? The two Tui's could be a delightful gift for Mum and Dad? or Granma and Grandad?
Emma will demonstrate a variety of processes such as dry brush acrylic paint technique and chalk pastel.
We will be using posca paint pens to add detail.
We will have Festive music playing to feel extra Christmassy!!

Emma will guide step-by-step to create a stunning circular artwork using watercolors and Posca pens on thick ply board. We will explore botanical forms and vibrant patterns, drawing inspiration from both lush floral gardens and underwater coral reefs. The finished artworks will be varnished and ready to hang on the wall.
Option to make a Christmas gift tag and wrap the artwork. A special and unique gift for Mum? or a grandparent?

In this workshop we will look at the magnificent Sunflower for our inspiration. We will also be looking at Van Gogh's famous sunflower paintings and studying his use of colour and brush technique.
Emma will guide the children step by step to make a mixed media sunflower painting on board. We will be using modelling paste to add the texutre. Emma will demonstrate watercolour techniques to add the colours and we will use posca pens for fine details to complete a beautiful art work ready to hang on the wall.
