A fun filled mixed media art workshop for 5 - 8 year olds.
In this workshop we will use a combination of materials and processes. . Children can either choose to create a dog or a cat artwork.
We will be using acrylic paint and posca pens to create a fun and vibrant work ready to hang on the wall.
Please wear old clothes! we get messy.
Please bring morning tea and a drink bottle.

In this mixed media workshop children will look at the beautiful Native birds for their inspiration.
Emma will demonstate a variety of processes such as dry brush acrylic paint technique and chalk pastel.
We will be using posca paint pens to add detail.

A fun and creative day for art loving girls. (8-13 years)
In this workshop we will look at the magnificent Sunflower for our inspiration. We will also be looking at Van Gogh's famous sunflower paintings and studying his use of colour and brush technique.
Emma will guide the children step by step to make a series of small sunflower observational drawings and watercolour paintings before making a textured sunflower painting using modelling paste. We will use posca pens for fine details to complete a beautiful art work ready to hang on the wall.

In this workshop children will be looking at the Underwater garden for inspiration.
Emma will demonstrate a range of processes to layer and build a composition that explores the textures, colours and sea life.
Children will work on thick card and use a combination of paint and ink posca pens to create a layered and intricate work that expresses the facinating life of the underwater garden.

In this fun and colour filled workshop we will look at Butterfly's from around the world for our inspiration.
We will explore hot and cold colours. with acrylic paint. We will add detailing with art paint pens and adding glitter and jewells to complete the artworks. Children will make two beautiful Butterfly works that feel like they are ready to "fly".

In this tactile, fun, mixed media workshop we will be insprired by the magic of Summertime in the Bay of Plenty. Emma will discuss her lastest installations with the Tauranga Art gallery "the Wunder boxes" and show the children images of her curiousity - memory box that she made for this exhibition.
We will be using a combination of materials. Children will then be using a variety of materials and processes to make a layered, eclectic creation that is unique to them.
Air dry clay, Collage, found objects, jars, mirrors, paint, shellack, and more.
Children can bring some of their own collected objects and images. ie shells. (I will also have lots)
Please email Emma at least 5 images that can help to make this summer time inspired box unique to your child. Such as family photos, pets. holiday pics.
I will crop and print to fit into the boxes ready for the workshop.
